Hey Mineral Man, you say we need 90 essential nutrients to in order to be healthy and have longevity in life; so my question is what did people do in the good ole days to live long?  Because I know they were not taking in a bottle of liquid minerals to survive, and they weren’t counting how many different minerals are in their foods; so what did they do?

-

This is a question I thought about often and the answer is in rooted in the earth.  The answer is trees.  If you visit third world developing countries, you will notice how they cook.  I saw one the other day on the discovery channel; the actually put the food underground as they cooked it.  But they use wood to get the fire going to cook.

The Life of the Tree is in the Roots

Typically after they cook, they put the wood ashes back into the soil where they grow their crops and food.  Well how does this help them get minerals?  The carbon in the trees (where they got the wood to cook with) carries minerals.  So when they put those wood ashes back into the soil to grow their food, their food is strengthen with minerals.

Cooking this way was done in the US until commercial kitchens came on the scene; now with gas and electric stoves you have no more wood ashes to provide our foods with minerals.  Also rarely anyone is in agriculture any more; if you major in agriculture today in college, you have a good chance at being laughed out of school by your advisors, much more the students.

Furthermore, rarely do people have yards to grow their own food, and even if they do, the yard is full of swing sets, basketball courts, tennis, and very little grass so there is not much grass to cut.  The wood ashes is what played the major role in making sure people received their mineral intake, without going online and purchasing mineral supplements or liquid minerals.
